Dr. Cynthia Palmisano

MA, PSy.D. Licensed Psychologist in CA and CT  (Owner and Director)

Dr. Palmisano is a licensed forensic and clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience. Her expertise involves psychological testing and evaluation. She has worked extensively with at risk and underserved populations including homeless mentally ill, incarcerated, dually diagnosed and transgender individuals. Her expertise includes motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and cognitive processing therapy. Dr. Palmisano has expertise in working with neurodiverse populations and in evaluating for attention disorders. Her research has included a variety of work with incarcerated populations, recidivism, juvenile justice and sexual offenders. She believes in making treatment and evaluation evidence based and person centered.

Omally Martinez

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Omally is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who uses a strengths-based, client-centered approach in both English and Spanish. She has experience utilizing behavioral modification treatment techniques with youth and adults who have Autism Spectrum Disorder. She also treats youth and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mood disorders. She is passionate about working with LGBTQ+ populations to foster self-acceptance, gender identity euphoria, and increased self-esteem. Her approach includes a systems lens to provide family members and support with a deeper understanding of the client’s diagnosis, as well as to nurture full-family healing and compassion.

Dr. Elaine Rooney 

MA, PSy.D. Psychology Resident in CT

Elaine was awarded her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from the University of Hartford. She trained in a wide breadth of settings including community mental health, intensive outpatient, correctional, and private practice; with individual and group therapy as well as in administering psychological assessment. She has worked with people from adolescence to adulthood for a myriad of psychological concerns including anxiety, depression, perinatal and postpartum adjustment, personality and mood disorders, as well as in processing traumatic events. Elaine has been trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, and psychodynamic approaches. She works in a client-centered way to integrate her training with the needs of the individual client. 

Dr. Danielle Todd-Fritz

MA, PSy.D. Psychology Resident in CT

Dr. Todd obtained her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Hartford and completed her predoctoral internship at Danbury Federal Correctional Institution. She has experience providing individual, group, and family therapeutic services to clients across the lifespan with varied clinical presentations. She completed her predoctoral training in a variety of settings, including community mental health, private practice, a therapeutic school, and a correctional facility. Her integrative clinical style draws heavily from client-centered principles and theory, with emphasis on the here-and-now and collaborative nature of the therapeutic process. Her utilization of a systems-based approach encourages clients to explore and mitigate the environmental, interpersonal, and systemic barriers that impact psychological functioning. Furthermore, she has trained in and has experience delivering empirically supported treatments, such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and CPT, that she incorporates into therapy with an integrative and individualized approach. Her research interests include child development, forensic psychology, and community/systemic inequity.
